Even though the reality of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD is already being slowly introduced to the society, there are still many people who still understand OCD poorly – sadly, there are OCD sufferers themselves who are also guilty of the same. There are OCD sufferers who would prefer to keep their real condition to themselves rather than sharing it to their loved ones or friends out of fear of being not accepted, or worse, of being labeled as insane. These people would rather go to OCD forums and hide under the cloak of anonymity in order to preserve their identities. However, while the presence of such outlets has always been appreciable because it has enabled many OCD sufferers to still find out more about their condition without having to disclose their identities, still, these avenues have also validated that it is not that harmful if a sufferer hides his or her condition.
