One of the most relevant features of hcg for weight loss is the constant rate of reducing – one pound each day during the Maintenace phase. In this phase you are regularly taking hcg drops, you maintain the very low calorie diet and monitor your weight through daily scaling. But even so, you can notice a stall in your weight loss process; this is called the Plateau, and it can last for several days. To break the plateau during the maintenance phase, Dr. Simeons proposed a technique called “Apple Day”.
You should start an Apple Day as soon as you notice stagnation in your weight decreasing. And you should start it from the lunchtime that day till next day at the same hour. During these 24 hours, you are going to eat six big apples. You may eat an apple whenever you feel too much cravings for food. But notice you are allowed only six apples for the entire period.
No other food is accepted, not even other fruit or vegetables. You stop following the 500 Calorie Diet that day, but you continue to regularly take your doses of HCG drops; even if an Apple Day, this is still a day of your HCG weight loss program, and you are expecting to continue reducing after that day.
The six apples contain enough fluid for the entire day, so you may not feel the need to drink too much water. However, if you are thirsty, it is better to drink a glass of plain water instead of eating another apple.
If you started the Apple Day as soon as you become aware of a stall in your weight decreasing, the next morning you will be glad to notice that your bowel movement became regular, your colon is cleansed and you can scale a significant weight reduction, even covering the stagnation you experienced last day.
